Following a public Request for Proposal process, the City of Oakland selected NDC as its consultant for its 2013 redistricting of City Council and School Board districts. The City selected NDC over other bidders based on NDC’s experience, expertise in engaging, educating, and empowering the public, and because of NDC’s unique expertise and offerings in online redistricting tools that enable members of the public to draw and submit their own redistricting plans.
The project will consist of, at a minimum, five public workshops, one Council Committee meeting, and two Council hearings. Anyone interested can follow the process on the City’s project web page.
