Today’s Orange County Register contains an in-depth look at the California Voting Rights Act (CVRA). NDC President Douglas Johnson is prominently quoted in the article’s discussion of which Orange County cities, school districts, and special districts may be vulnerable to litigation under CVRA.

While the article misstates some of the details of Anaheim and Escondido cases (both cities are NDC clients), overall it is a good review of the widespread impact of CVRA; the difficulty jurisdictions face in assessing potential vulnerability; and the rapid spread of CVRA lawsuits.

Best of all, the article is not hidden behind the Register’s infamous paywall. It can be read here.
